Azar Teatro

CAMALEÓN PRODUCCIONES ARTÍSTICAS (Chameleon Artistic Productions) is created in 2001 as a theatre distribution and production company.

CAMALEÓN comes into being from the experience of AZAR TEATRO’s members, and its main objective is to have its own place in a strategy of company growth.

CAMALEÓN is our bet for a more dynamic and open way of theatre distribution and production, which allows us to work in many different artistic fields: theatre, music, dance, circus... and which gives us the chance of producing shows without being subject to a unique line of creative process.

Camaleón is especially fond of street performance and of fostering the idea of street show, with the special characteristics of staging and relationship with the audience that this type of shows requires.

Street Theatre and Dance companies to the most important Festivals, both in Spain and abroad, such as Azar Teatro, Bambalúa, La Danaus, Sérial Théâtre, Cie. Écart, Hojarasaca Danza, Deabru Beltzak...
Musics of the whole World, recovering and spreading traditional instruments of each area. Some of these bands are: La Banda de la María (Seville), La Parrús Dixie Band (Valladolid), La Banda del Surdo, Urban Drum‘n‘Bass, Héctor Protector, Tamboro Mutanta, Bloc Quilombo (percussion), Electrofunk...
Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque Markets and Tournaments. Thematic Markets organized Spain-wide.
Cavalcades and parades livened up with jugglers, stilt walkers, fireworks, etc. Human statues, static animation which breaks with the routine and the usual appearance of the city.
Magic. Magic tricks especially suitable for the street. Workshops.
New Circus: Rolabola, imperfect circus. Workshops.
